Enjoy a tranquil journey through the Nichupté Lagoon while our guides show you and explain the flora and fauna that inhabit our region and mangroves, and their significance to Mayan culture.
Embark on a unique experience in Cancun with our “Puerto Maya Mangrove Tour.” This tour perfectly combines Maya culture, nature, and gastronomy, allowing you to immerse yourself in the magic of the Maya civilization and the natural beauty of the Nichupté Lagoon. For greater privacy, our boat accommodates a maximum of 10 people per group.

Maya Ritual:
This is the first activity of the tour, a magical place where you can observe a huge Maya calendar. You will be thrilled to hear the guide’s explanation about the calendar and its sacred solar cycles, and you will participate in a celebration directing your spirit to the four cardinal points, accompanied by our Maya characters.
Maya Ceremony:
You can participate with our Maya warriors in a dance, cross a hanging bridge, and learn more about this incomparable culture through replicas of Maya stelae of temples and gods.
Mangrove Tour:
In this part of the activity, you will navigate 11 km through the mangroves of the Nichupté Lagoon, observing birds and hearing from the guide about their great importance for the ecosystem and their symbiosis with the lagoon and local fauna.
Maya Flavor:
Our gastronomic tasting offers, for the delight of our visitors, a delicious typical meal from the Maya region, a unique sample of the peninsula’s flavors. This Yucatecan food snack will be served with flavored waters, in an unparalleled environment.

Important Information
- The activity is safe for children aged 4 and above. It is not recommended for children aged 1 to 3.
- To use the locker, a deposit of $5 USD or $100 MXN is required, which will be refunded at the end when you return the locker key.
- The minimum age is 4 years.
