- What does the Mayan Jungle Tour include?
The tour consists of three hours of activities. It includes the Mayan Ceremony experience, pre-hispanic dance, guided tour driving your own speed boat through the mangrove, snorkeling activity, and regional snacks (3 Mayan salbutes and flavored water) at our Mayan Lounge restaurant.
What’s more, your ticket includes the use of an individual towel, bottle of water, a completely new inner tube, fins, a life jacket, and a snorkel.
- What do I need to bring for the tour?
Swimsuit, comfortable shoes, repellent, biodegradable sunscreen, $20 US per person, or credit card to pay the National Marine Park bracelet and dock maintenance.
- Do you have bathrooms and showers?
Puerto Maya has bathrooms within its facilities. After the tour, you can rinse off in an outdoor shower, but we do not have changing rooms.
- Does the tour include lockers?
Yes, we have lockers. A deposit of $5 US or $100 MXN pesos is required, which will be refunded at the end when you return the key of your locker.
- Are meals included?
The tour includes a regional snack (three salbutes) and one glass of fresh fruit water. Additionally, you can consume any food you want from our Mayan Lounge restaurant at an additional cost from the menu.
- Can I change the date of my reservation?
Yes, you can change the date of your reservation, at no cost up to 24 hours before your schedule.
- Do you have goggles with a prescription for snorkeling?
At the moment, we don’t have prescription goggles.
- Can I drive the speed boat alone during the tour?
It depends on your companion, if both decide to take turns or if one person wants to drive the whole time.
- Is transportation included in the tour?

- Are photos included in the tour?
We have different photo packages so you can remember this experience. The photo packages have an additional cost.
- Do you have a vegetarian or vegan menu?
Yes, we have an option for you. When you arrive at Puerto Maya, please inform your assigned guide.
- How long does the snorkeling activity last?
It lasts from 20 to 25 minutes and is carried out at Punta Nizuc.
- Can a pregnant person, or someone with heart problems, limited mobility, or back problems do the tour?
For your safety and well-being, we advise that pregnant women, and persons with heart problems, limited mobility, or back problems refrain from participating in the tour. We want to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable and comfortable experience
- From what age can children do the tour?
The activity is safe for children 6 years old or 120 cm/47.24 inches tall and above. It is not recommended for children from 1 to 5 years old or less than 120 cm/47.24 inches tall.
- Can I do the tour with my pet?
No, for your safety and that of your pets, it is not recommended. With the exception of service animals.
- What is the maximum speed of the boats?
You can reach a speed of up to 40 km per hour. 21.59 nautical miles.
- In case of rain or wind, can my tour be postponed?

- Does Puerto Maya have a parking lot?

- Can I drink alcoholic beverages before or during the tour?
No, the consumption of alcoholic beverages is not allowed for your own safety and that of others. At the end of your activity, you can refresh yourself at our restaurant
